This is Koide from Sado!
We found a pair of mizutama umiushi (a nudibranch)!
Could they be mating?
Today we did 2 dives at Lake Kamo in Sado.
Once again, we took our time observing nudibranchs, known as the “jewels of the sea.”
Spring is the season when nudibranchs increase.
Among them, one of my favorites is the mizutama umiushi.
Its milky white, translucent body
has a polka dot pattern of yellow, black, and white.
It's a very elegant and cute nudibranch.
It's a creature we'd love for you to see in Sado's spring sea!
