Hello, this is Koide from the Freeway Sado shop!
We went to Kitakoura!
The juvenile dangouo (a tiny lumpsucker) and juvenile hoteiuo (smooth lumpsucker) have increased.
There seem to be a lot of them this year.
There was even a spot with 4 dangouo and 3 hoteiuo on a single arame (a kelp) blade.
Amazing.
Photos of a dangouo triple,
photos of a hoteiuo double,
all sorts of variations.
Of course, the solo shots are cute too!
It was a super exciting dive!
I'm looking forward to next week's photo seminar.
The big giant Pacific octopus is still going strong.
While I was taking photos, a big arm came reaching over…
Everyone, please be careful!
Near the octopus's den, the remains of kijihata (red-spotted grouper) it had eaten were scattered around.
Today we saw 19 species of nudibranchs!
Kariyaumiushi
Abekozakuraminoumiushi and a skeleton shrimp
Futairominoumiushi mating
Sakuraminoumiushi
and many more!
Thank you again for today.
Oh, and the spring murkiness is setting in right on schedule.
