Hello!
This is Chika from Freeway!
Today!
I was in charge of guests who came all the way from Osaka.
Believe it or not, this season!
Even though they live far away, this was their 4th visit to the island!
It makes me so happy!
And today, we dove at Kitakoura.
Seasonal visitor fish are increasing!
A red-belted anthias?
Pink in the Sea of Japan! I want to take a cute photo of it!
It moves around, so it's hard.
A kinchakudai (bluestriped angelfish)!
We often see juveniles, but…
an adult with lines this clear is rare!
What a surprise!
A boxfish!
This season, we've often been seeing big ones!
To be honest, I prefer ones smaller than a ping pong ball, though.
A bluestreak cleaner wrasse!
Cleaning a female kobudai (Asian sheepshead wrasse)!
There seem to be fewer of them this year.
And! And!
A gurukun!? (A takasago, a fusilier!?)
It moves fast, so I barely managed a record shot.
Is Sado getting warmer too??
Little ones too!
Mitsuirameriumiushi
Perched neatly on top of the seaweed!
Kinubari (a banded goby)
Around this time they should be guarding eggs somewhere, but…
I just can't find them.
Is this one a female? It was swimming as if it were weak.
Sui (a small sculpin)
It stays near the seaweed, and if you look closely, it's a cute one!
As someone from Osaka myself, I'm truly happy when guests from Osaka visit the island!
I'll do my best so you can enjoy tomorrow too!
Thank you for reading to the end…
Thank you so much!
Today's dive sites: Kitakoura
① Artificial reef
② Akaiwa
The fish life and visibility are good, but more and more people are switching from wetsuits to drysuits.
We recommend bringing a windbreaker to put on during breaks and a thermos (with a warm drink).
