Hello!
This is Chika from Freeway!
Yesterday and today, we enjoyed a slow, relaxing time in the Sado sea with guests we hadn't seen in a while!
Once again, it was two days of fully savoring “the Sado sea where you can feel Japan”!
Today we went boat diving at Kitakoura.
On the first dive, we watched nijiginpo (a fang blenny) guarding their eggs!
They lay their eggs in places like empty turban shells, and we could see males guarding the eggs here and there.
No matter how many times I see it, the way they guard their eggs so hard with their tiny bodies is just adorable!
We also found a small lionfish, one of the seasonal visitor fish!
I'm really looking forward to seeing what kinds of fish will show up from here on.
The second dive was at Akaiwa.
The kinubari (a striped goby) have recently taken on their breeding colors and look really beautiful.
Today we saw a male and a female side by side in the shadow of a rock!
“Maybe we'll soon see them guarding eggs too?” It made me even more excited for the season ahead!
And today, for the first time in a while, we got to see Kojiro the kobudai (Asian sheepshead wrasse)!
It's always a joy to see Kojiro.
We spent two relaxed, fun days with guests we hadn't seen in a while.
I was so happy to enjoy the Sado sea together!
Please come back and dive the Sado sea again!
Thank you so much for the two days!
