Good evening!
This is Chika from Freeway Sado!
Underwater photographer Mayumi Takeuchi comes to the Sado sea!
Since September 14, underwater photographer Mayumi Takeuchi has been visiting us on Sado.
She has been enjoying the Sado sea to the fullest every day of her stay!
On the first and second days, she dove at Kitakoura, aiming for mebaru (Japanese rockfish) and kijihata (red-spotted grouper).
Then from the third day, partly because of the wind, we moved to the dive sites at Ogi.
At Ogi, she has been diving with a focus on macro life, especially searching for sui and himesui (tiny sculpins).
……but this is where we're struggling a bit.
The himesui she's hoping for just won't turn up, so even we guides spend each day searching and wondering, “Where are you?!” (lol)
Even so, she meets all kinds of creatures every day and has been enjoying the Sado sea!
In autumn, the Sado sea gets busier with fish, and it's becoming an even more fun season underwater.
We're also meeting more and more creatures you can only see at this time of year.
Everyone, please come and visit the Sado sea this autumn!
Let's dive into a fun sea together!
