Good evening! This is Chika!
Yesterday and today, I enjoyed the sea of Sado with a repeat guest.
The rain lowered the water temperature a little, but in exchange the sea was bustling with fish!
Yamato the kobudai (Asian sheepshead wrasse) showed up in good health, and today we also came across a huge school of sardines and schools of inada (young Japanese amberjack).
It was a dive full of fish, with plenty to see.
On top of that, a common octopus had started brooding her eggs.
The sight of a mother octopus devotedly protecting her precious eggs is something special you can only see at this time of year!
It was a moment that made me feel the strength of life.
And guess what!
The second photo is one I was allowed to take with our guest's film
camera, and I received it on positive film!
I was truly happy!
I was so glad to dive in the sea of Sado again with a guest I hadn't dived with in a year.
Thank you for such a fun time!
I look forward to diving together again.
