Back to Katanoo for the first time in 8 months! Spring nudibranch season has begun
Yesterday we held a dive in the Katanoo area.
It was our first entry there in about 8 months.
“I wonder what Katanoo is like now?” It felt like a little expedition.
Spring means nudibranch season, of course.
In gaps between rocks, at the base of the seaweed: just lower your gaze a little and you find one after another.
Yesterday we were able to observe no fewer than 13 species of nudibranchs!
Many were small ones, in all kinds of colors and shapes.
I can feel the arrival of a season macro lovers can't resist.
And speaking of Katanoo…
it's a site where juvenile dangouo (a tiny lumpsucker) appear every year.
A sea full of dreams, holding the chance to meet those tiny little angels.
In the coming season, you won't be able to take your eyes off it.
In spring, macro life in the sea around Sado Island keeps increasing.
Divers who love their cameras, now is your chance.
Next, I'll head back to Katanoo to look for dangouo!
