Hello!
This is Chika from Freeway!
It was a bit windy today, so we dived at Ogi.
Last time we dived at Ogi the water was a little murky, so...
I went in wondering how it would be today, but...
it was so clear I was amazed!
Farther out, horse mackerel and damselfish were schooling, and it was a pleasant swim.
At Akatodai, we went to see the jawfish, but...
no matter how hard we looked, there were holes but they stayed tucked inside.
Maybe they're brooding eggs in their mouths?
It does seem to be the right time of year for it...
While I was frantically searching, our guests had found them on their own, which was a relief. Haha
Some ducked right back in, and others just stared back at us; they were so cute!
After coming back to the shallows, it was a nudibranch hunting dive!
But...
maybe because the water is warm, we just couldn't find many... (sob)
We all searched hard together, and found...
• Fujiiro umiushi • Koibo umiushi • Shirayukimodoki
• Ryumon'iro umiushi • Hakusen mino umiushi • Azuki umiushi
And then...
the usual regulars.
• Shiro • Ao • Kiiro ibo • Sarasa umiushi
Well, nudibranch lovers might have found it a bit lacking... (sob)
But today was a special day: F's 600th commemorative dive!
Celebrated by dive buddies, it turned into a fun dive!
I put my body on the line to celebrate too!
Taking off my gear and wetsuit underwater with no practice, for the first time in a year? Two years? Haha
Wow, I was nervous. Haha
I should have practiced. Haha
I'm glad everyone seemed to enjoy it!
