This is Koide in Sado!
Today we dived at the Shipwreck and Akaiwa!
The weather was nice, so sunlight streamed all the way down into the sea!
Underwater, everything is deep blue!
As always, Yamato the kobudai (Asian sheepshead wrasse) is full of energy.
At the top of Akaiwa, huge schools of chagara (a goby) and aji (horse mackerel) are swarming in.
Searching through the seaweed, we found a reddish brown seahorse hiding!
At the Shipwreck, mebaru (Japanese rockfish) are gathering around the ship and swimming in a tight cluster.
Lots of beautiful kokeginpo (a small blenny) were hiding on the hull.
Red, yellow, black, and brown: you never get tired of looking at them!
During our safety stop, a school of sardines reflected the sunlight
and sparkled brilliantly!
Tomorrow we're diving at Futatsugame!
Can't wait to see what creatures show up!
