Hello! This is Chika from Freeway.
Today we dived at the artificial reef and Akaiwa!
At the artificial reef, the schools of isaki (chicken grunt) were simply breathtaking! Surrounded by schools filling the water right in front of us, it was a truly spectacular dive.
Juvenile chagara (a goby) are also showing up here and there now, and the underwater scenery is looking completely like summer.
At Akaiwa too, there were lots of juvenile chagara today that weren't there yesterday! Seeing the sea change in just one day is part of the fun of this time of year. I can feel Sado's sea turning into its summer self day by day.
When we checked on the seahorse we found yesterday, its belly was nice and round! It was clearly bigger than yesterday, just like an expectant mom. Maybe babies will be born soon... I'm already so excited!
And of course, Sado's favorite, Kojiro the kobudai (Asian sheepshead wrasse), was full of energy again today! He swam by leisurely and gave our guests a great show.
More and more fish will be arriving as Sado's sea heads into full summer. I can't wait to see what encounters are waiting for us!
Please come and enjoy Sado's summer sea with us!
Most of the photos were kindly provided by our guests!
Thank you so much, Midori!
Enjoy tomorrow together too, both of you!
