This is Koide from Sado!
Heavy snow and all, we went diving 😝
This time, at a guest's request, we took our time observing chagara (a goby).
Chagara are finally entering their breeding season.
It's the season when their colors are at their most beautiful all year.
When chagara get serious, it really shows in the beauty of their fins.
Depending on how the light hits them, they shine in rainbow colors.
And only at this time of year,
their pelvic fins turn navy blue.
Sado's sea doesn't have a lot of colorful fish,
but in the colors of chagara,
I feel a refined beauty unique to the Sea of Japan.
Winter chagara:
I'd love to show them to you ✨🙏
🌡 Water temp: 12°C
