We found ainame (fat greenling) eggs 🥚✨

This season, we had been watching ainame guarding eggs at 2 spots.

When we went to check on them 4 days ago, both had already finished…

But at another spot, we found a male ainame hanging around 👀

We were hoping, “Maybe a new one is about to start?”…

and when we dove today, a new round of egg guarding had begun!!

And the eggs were freshly laid ✨

How lucky 😊

At yet another spot there's also a male hanging around,

so I'm really looking forward to what happens next.

Ainame eggs hatch in about 3 to 4 weeks.

This year, it looks like we'll be able to watch this precious scene until around the middle of February.

If you're interested, please come and see it 🌊🐟
