We were out diving again today, at the start of the week!
This is Chika Nakagawa from Freeway.
Since it was a weekday, today was a one on one dive!
We took our time diving at Ogi 🐟
Dive 1 was White Lighthouse.
A lionfish in the deeper area 🐟
Maybe it's one of the seasonal visitor fish we're seeing a little more of again this year?
In the shallows...
mixed in with juvenile damselfish, a neon damselfish.
It's tiny and darts around constantly, so a record shot was the best I could do 💦
Unless you devote an entire dive to this little one, you just can't get the shot 💦 lol
A tiny yellow and black one:
a juvenile kinchakudai (bluestriped angelfish).
The nenbutsudai (half-lined cardinalfish) have grown big too!
The fish in the four photos above are fish that normally don't live around Sado.
And it showed up again today!
Hiramasa (yellowtail amberjack)!
It was big!
It's hard to tell the size from the video, but...
it was over 1 m 👍
Dive 2 was a relaxed one at Ryuodo beach ⛱️
We looked for nudibranchs
and swam around nice and leisurely!
Our famous resident kurodai (black sea bream) was there too 💦 lol
It followed us the whole time 💦 lol
For nudibranchs, besides the regular Shiroumiushi, Aoumiushi, Sarasaumiushi, Jibogaumiushi, Kiiroiboumiushi, Konohamidorigai and Azukiumiushi...!
there was a Yozoramidorigai!
It's almost never seen on Sado, so we were lucky!
Oh, that reminds me!
On Saturday, the Mushizaki beach team...
saw something rare for Sado!
I've never seen one myself!
Apparently they saw a nudibranch called “Ookuronezumi”!
In the autumn sea, fish or nudibranchs, you never know
what will turn up!
It's a fun sea 🏖️
S, thank you for the two days!
And thanks for the beer too!
We hope to dive with you again!
Little by little, it's becoming the season when it's nice to have something to throw on (a windbreaker or similar).
