Hello!
This is Chika Nakagawa from Freeway.
Today was my day off!
But...
I just love diving.
Even though it was my day off,
instead of letting the nitrogen out of my body...
I tagged along on the fun diving team's boat and dove at the Kitakoura shipwreck and Akaiwa 👍
At the shipwreck...
lots of fish, as always 🐟
Mebaru (Japanese rockfish), kijihata (red-spotted grouper), isaki (chicken grunt), horse mackerel: so many fish!
And...
one of the seasonal visitor fish...
a lone kingyohanadai (sea goldie).
It was swimming gracefully among the chagara (a small goby)!
On the third dive I also dove at Mushizaki beach, and...
A southern fish! We also saw a juvenile yokosujifuedai (a snapper)!
Seeing fish that don't live around Sado is always fun!
Our ever reliable amimehagi (a small filefish) ↓
I shot it a little dark!
Changing up the mood of the shot was fun too!
At Akaiwa...
an isoginpo (a blenny) was guarding its eggs!
Unfortunately, I couldn't photograph the eggs 😭
The eggs are deep inside a hole, and you can just about see them with the naked eye, but...
I can't get a shot 😭 So frustrating...
I want to come back for a rematch!
Haokoze (a waspfish), which we didn't see in summer 🐟
Now that it's autumn, we've started to see a few.
You might think, “Just a haokoze?”, but sitting there neatly on the sand, it was adorable 🥰
Diving really is 🤿
so much fun that I dive even on my days off!
Sado's autumn sea 🍂
We look forward to welcoming you to the island 😊
Little by little, it's becoming the season when it's nice to have something to throw on (a windbreaker or similar).
